About
The Author
I’m Monchel Pridget. I’m a Christian (non-denominational), lawyer, writer, poet, radical woman of color, online activist, armchair revolutionary, and big mouth. Honesty is one of my most precious commodities, second only to love. My words, opinions, and occasional fits of hubris belong to me and not to anyone employing me at any given time.
Nice to meet you.
Buria q is a great friend of mine and keeps me honest. She also writes here. This introduction is a placeholder until I speak to her about adding more about herself on this page.
The Blog
I created Problem Chylde on September 18, 2007 for participation in the To Be A Problem webcourse, coordinated by the phenomenal Lex of BrokenBeautiful Press. Over time, my class notebook evolved into a space resembling The Anti-Essentialist Conundrum, the blog I created on September 10, 2006 and eliminated in late July of 2007.
The best comparison I can give when it comes to deleting a blog is shedding your skin. You never do it once, and the alternative’s always better for a time.
Recently, I found an archive of conundrums via RSS, and I will (slowly, as time permits) incorporate the old posts into this new space. Feel free to take a look around.
If you have any questions, leave a comment on this page and I will follow up with you via email.
